Merran Kilgour has created a beautiful garden that surrounds her house and it is a fitting venue for her studio.  She sees the studio and garden as a haven for creative souls as well as the "classroom" for her painting and mosaicing classes.

The Studio is located in Newcastle in the Lower Hunter Valley on the east coast of Australia about 150km north of Sydney.

Merran's 30 year artistic journey has had a number of phases with a very successful period producing an extraordinary series of Australian landscapes. Her still life paintings were inspired by her love of flowers and fine antique vases. Over the years she has received many awards that acknowledge her skills in using a wide range of media.

In recent years she has travelled extensively to Europe and she has found renewal by visiting the locations that inspired the impressionists over one hundred years ago.
